Liverpool has a thriving pub culture and many of the places the Beatles remember still serve a pint. This relaxed pub tour takes you from the bar where they supped a pint before they played at the Cavern (the Cavern was a dry club back then) to the Jacaranda with murals by Stuart Sutcliffe and where they played for little more than Coca-Cola and beans on toast. Our next stop is where John Lennon took Cynthia on their first date. He also talked and drank and dreamed of the future there with his art school friends. We finish in the opulent, mahogany lined Philharmonic Dining rooms, John’s favourite pub in the city. McCartney played an impromptu performance there in 2018.
